Retinal Dystrophies: Genetic Testing Approaches and Therapies
The clinical utility of genetic testing for inherited retinal dystrophies has dramatically altered with the advent of a clinically available gene therapy. In this presentation, I will describe the pathophysiology and natural history of select inherited retinal dystrophy disorders, as well as summarize a genetic testing approach and describe available and emerging therapies.

Dr. Priya Bhola is a clinical geneticist at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Ottawa.
